Where do the healers go to heal?
Where do we go when our own cups need refilling?

This question was posed to me by our Retreat Guardians — our sacred givers — after our last transformational journey to Kemet. And it has echoed in my spirit through seasons of pouring, guiding, and holding space for others.

From that quiet inner whisper, the seed of the Healing the Healers Retreat was planted.

This sacred gathering is created specifically for the healers, teachers, nurturers, givers, and sacred space holders — the ones who carry the burdens of others — to pause, to rest, and to be restored.

Why Bahia?

Bahia is the soul of Afro-Brazil. It is a land of Magic and Mystery - where African traditions still thrive — in Candomblé rituals, capoeira rhythms, ancestral foodways, and sacred community practices.

To walk Bahia’s streets is to walk with the ancestors. Their voices rise in the ocean waves, their rhythm pulses through the atabaque drums, their presence is alive in the resilience and joy of the people.

We return here because Bahia is where memory breathes — and where Healers come to be Healed.
