ENEMAS

An enema administration is a technique used to stimulate stool evacuation. Enemas have been known to support weight loss, remove toxins and heavy metals from your body and improve your skin, immunity, blood pressure and energy levels.

It is estimated that the average adult has 5-20 pounds of impacted waste, depending on the diet and lining of the large intestines. If you are not having at least 2 bowel movements a day then it is time for an internal flush and enemas are an ancient effective method.

During the Detox process, especially during the juice fast, you may find that your bowel movements may even decrease as your digestive system takes a break and revitalizes itself. Therefore, daily enemas starting no later than day 2 of the detox is highly recommended (minimally do an enema every other day).

ENEMAS AND COLON CLEANSING

Both the Edwin and the Ebers Papyrus are the earliest known medical documents in history as well as the most important medical papyri of ancient Egypt. Both papyri speak in detail about the health benefits of enemas and colon cleanings. The Ancients were highly observant of the natural environment and were able to design enemas when they noticed the Ibis on the Nile filling its beak with water and shooting the water through its anus in order to clean its innards.

The ancient Egyptians prided themselves on health, wellness and cleanliness, free of pain and disease. To them, pain and disease were a function of blocked canals and passages within the body. Therefore, to experience optimal health those passages had to be unblocked. The enema was considered a cure all for most diseases. As documented in both papyri are directions for enema use and more than 20 remedies for healing stomach and intestinal issues "to drive out excrements."

Enema remedies may have included: milk, beer, rosewater and wine, each sweetened with honey.

The Greek historian and traveler, Herodotus verified the Egyptians use of enemas when he wrote “The Egyptians clear themselves on three consecutive days, every month, seeking after health by emetics and enemas for they think that all disease comes to man from his food."

ENEMA INSTRUCTIONS

First Fill:

  1. Use enema in bathroom and have absorbent pad, timer and enema kit ready.

  2. Wash hands thoroughly before assembling the kit.

  3. Assemble the kit making sure the clamp is easy to reach and is closed.

  4. Fill the enema bag 3⁄4 way with lukewarm (body temperature or cooler) water. If possible, use purified or filtered water.

  5. Hang bag with hook at least 18 inches above the floor. The higher the better depending on the tube length.

  6. Remove air by releasing the clamp and allowing water to run for a few seconds over the toilet.

  7. Lubricate the end tubing with olive oil or coconut oil which will be placed in the anus.

  8. Lay on your absorbent pad on the floor lying on your back (for first time beginners) or on the left side of the body for maximum benefit.

  9. Gently insert 3-5 inches of the tubing into the anus until it is firmly in place; NEVER FORCE.

  10. Release clamp and allow water to flow for 5-10 seconds. In most cases you will feel air (gas) being pushed out the rectum as the water flows in. The gas is an indication of fecal blockage.

  11. Continue to allow water to slowly flow while breathing deeply. You may feel the need to expel. If this occurs, clamp off the tube immediately.

  12. Try to hold the water for 3 minutes; up to 5 if possible. Deep breathing and tapping on the chest can assist you with this process (don't expect too much of yourself the first time, either in terms of the amount of liquid retained or the retention time. After a number of enemas your body will get used to retaining more liquid for longer).

  13. Massage the right abdomen and right side just below the rib cage. This will help release toxins from liver.

  14. You can continue massaging in a counter-clockwise direction; massaging the ascending and descending colon.

  15. Expel as needed.

  16. Repeat until your release becomes somewhat clear. You may need to do this 2/3 times but never more than 4.

  17. Wait 20-30 min before proceeding to SECOND Fill.

Second (Cleansing) Fill:

  1. Use the Cleansing Solution.

  2. Do not dilute Wheatgrass and only use fresh wheatgrass juice (herbal enemas: make a strong infusion of herbal teas or a decoction of roots and bark, strain and cool. Use 2 teaspoons of herb per pint or of water, 4 tsp for each quart or liter).

  3. Repeat previous steps.

  4. Try to hold Solution for 5 minutes (10 minutes is better) while massaging the right abdomen to help release toxins from the liver. Deep breathing and tapping on the chest can assist you with this process.

  5. Expel as needed.

  6. Continue this process until bag is empty.

ENEMA CLEANSING SOLUTIONS

An enema involves inserting liquid into the rectum, as a way to assist with eliminating the lower part of the large intestine.

Cleansing Enemas utilize solutions that are held in the rectum for a short time to flush your colon. Once injected, they’re retained for a few minutes until your body rids itself of the fluid, along with loose matter and impacted stool in your bowel.

Disclaimer: There are some risks when using an enema. Using too much liquid: In this case, the body may hold some liquid in and release it without warning. Stretching the bowel: This increases the chance of perforation, which is a risk when the lining of the colon is torn. It can cause the colon’s contents to leak into the body. Using liquid that is too hot or cold: This can cause discomfort or pain. The liquid in an enema should be at room temperature.
