Most indigenous societies and cultures have some form or way of connecting with Ancestral Spirits.

In African-centered cultures across the Diaspora, the spiritual and physical realms are intricately intertwined. This connection between the natural and the supernatural is believed to maintain equilibrium and balance. The Sacred Healer, Priest, or Shaman serves as the earthly embodiment of Spirit, wielding African Sacred Technologies to heal and uplift the community through ritual, prayer, and divination

According to various African traditions, recognizing and honoring good, true ancestral spirits is essential for our spiritual growth and evolution. When a spirit is freed from its physical body, it assumes the responsibility of assisting the living (or not). This process embodies the principle of spirit aiding spirit to fulfill the Creator's work. On the physical plane, our duty is to keep this ancestral energy alive through recognition, honor, and veneration.

However, it is crucial to understand what and who we are invoking and why. We have to be extremely careful not to call upon energies that didn’t live well or die well.

By acknowledging and venerating our good and true ancestors with clear intent, we ensure that the energy we call upon is aligned with our highest good and spiritual purpose.
