Brother Jalen “Jawabu” Boutté, a Holistic Wellness Practitioner, Ancient Egyptian Yoga Instructor, Plant-Based Chef, Afrikan Sovereignist and Community Organizer, is based out of Atlanta, Georgia, where he serves the Black/Afrikan diasporic community. Jawabu has discovered his life’s purpose in the Reawakening of Afrikan consciousness and identity, leading to the revival of Afrikan traditions and value systems.
His journey began with attaining a degree in African-American Studies from the University of Georgia, which ignited his pursuit of “Afrika.” However, he soon realized that there was much more to learn about Afrikan culture, spirituality, and liberation that could not be acquired in a university setting. Driven by the desire to fulfill his soul’s deepest yearnings, Jawabu embarked on a quest for answers on how people of Afrikan descent could return to a harmonious, balanced, maatic way of living and being.
This quest led him to delve deeply into the realms of health, spirituality, culture, language, and political education to empower the Afrikan race/family and improve their conditions. Through extensive travels across the Afrikan diaspora, Jawabu has amassed the knowledge and skills necessary to facilitate healing, rejuvenation, and empowerment among his people. He achieves this by imparting teachings in bodyweight fitness, promoting plant-based lifestyles, instructing Ancient Egyptian yoga, organizing communities, and providing political education.
In his leisure time, Jawabu finds joy in activities involving physical movement, communing with nature, and engaging with his community. He also dedicates himself to furthering his understanding of Afrikan history and revolutionary theory, aiming to leave a positive impact on the world and aid Afrikan people in reclaiming their sovereignty.
