1. Who can attend this retreat?
Anyone, all ages. Please note there will be a lot of walking and sight seeing for the cultural experiences. The yoga level is for beginners. 


2. I've never travelled before and I don't have anyone to go with. Can I come alone?

Absolutely. You will be with the group at all times. 


3. Is a visa required?
Yes, A Visa is required for US Citizens and most other foreign nationals.
You must have an original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Brazil, and with at least two blank passport pages side by side, available for Brazilian visa stamps. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for visa stamps.

4. What do I need to pack?
Yoga mat, flexible and loose clothing, water bottle, personal superfoods & snacks, personal care products, mosquito repellent, sunglasses and/or hat is recommended.


5.  Do I need a, travel insurance or any vaccinations to travel to Brazil?
No, additional vaccines are required for US citizens traveling to Brazil however, the CDC has a list of recommended vaccines to consider.

Though not required to enter Brazil, travelers wishing to be vaccinated should consider receiving yellow fever vaccine prior to travel to Brazil, as local supplies are limited. Please note that the yellow fever vaccine should be administered 10 days prior to travel in order for it to be effective.
*Also note that, while yellow fever vaccine is not required to enter Brazil, some neighboring countries do require travelers with recent entries in Brazil to show proof of yellow fever vaccination. All travelers to the country are advised to carry documentation, such as a vaccination card, that they have been appropriately vaccinated for Yellow Fever.Travel insurance is required for this retreat. Suggested insurance is Allianz. But all others are welcome. Before departure, please send travel insurance information.


6. Do you offer monthly payment plans?

Yes.  A $500 non-refundable deposit secures registration. After, you can make monthly payments via the retreat registration page or via payments.  All final payments are due by October 15, 2019. Registration is not confirmed until deposit is made. *If you choose to cancel, the deposit can be applied to a future retreat.  See terms and conditions and our cancellation policy.


7. What airport to fly into?
You should fly into Salvador-Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães International Airport (SSA).  As of today, only LATAM Airlines flies direct from the US (Miami) to Salvador.  All other airlines connect through other major cities in Brazil.


8. What time should I arrive and depart?

The Cultural experience portion of the Retreat begins November 16th.  We request that you arrive on November 15th so that you rest and settle in.  We have a cultural dinner and show scheduled for the evening of the  15th so please try to arrive before 4pm local time.  Regarding departure; our closing ceremony is scheduled for the morning of the 24th.  It is recommended that after the Ayahuasca ceremony that you not do a lot of movement.  You may want to schedule your departure from Salvador on the 25th. 


9. Is this retreat all-inclusive?

The retreat does not include flights to/from and within Brazil.  Airport Transfers are not included to and from the hotel and retreat sites. Uber, Taxis and Airport Shuttles are all available from the airport and we can assist you with logistical issues. However, we have chosen AfroTours as a Travel Partner who can arrange your Airport Transfers. Please contact Nilzete directly via Whatsapp +55 71 8833-2024 to arrange.

All Accommodations, meals during the retreat (Nov 18-24) of the trip and tours are included. Breakfast is included during the Cultural Experience (Nov 15-18). All transportation other than airport transfers is included.  Tips & gratuities and optional activities are not included.


8.  Are the sweat lodge and ayahuasca ceremonies mandatory?

All activities are optional during the retreat.  Please use your own discernment in participating in any events and activities.. We ask that you inform us about any an potential health issues prior to attending the retreat.  Further, you will be asked to sign release forms prior to participating in the  sweat lodge and Ayahuasca ceremonies.
